Executives and members of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ughelli South Ward 4 (Olomu Ward I), has expelled four of its members over allegations of running parallel executives, failure to appear before a disciplinary committee and insubordination.
In a communique signed by the ward Chairman, Chief Raymond Edirin Temisere and Secretary, Comrade Oscar Odudu, said the members were expelled from the party during an extraordinary ward meeting presided over by the executives.
The communique unveiled those expelled to include Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon, Mr. Samson Akarobo, Mr. Ahereoghene Oluku and Mrs. Felicia Eseoghene.
The party explained in the communique that during the ward extraordinary meeting held on April 21, 2020 at Ophori-Olomu which also includes the executives and disciplinary committee, said an invitation letters sent to those expelled by the disciplinary committee and their failure to appear before the committee to answer allegations leveled against them, were critically deliberated upon and it was considered that the above members will alter the peace and unity of the party in the ward if not death with.
“So it was base on the above premise that the ward expelled four of them to serve as deterrent to others who are still involved in divisional tendencies within the party”, it added.
The ward in the communique, extended the expulsion letter to the Local Government Area party chairman, State Party Chairman and the National Executive Council of the party.
